our history

Our first outreach opportunities!

We replaced the US Flag at the Callaghan Stadium at Concord University campus.  The picture is of a 3X5 size.  The old one was 8X12 and there is a new 8X12 currently on order.  A picture of the NEW 8X12 flag will be posted as soon as we put it up! It WILL be displayed for the Thursday September 17th. football game.  LET'S GO MOUNTAIN LIONS....ROOOOAAARRRR!
On the Concord University Campus, there is a Veterans Memorial directly in front of the Administration building.  It needed some serious cleaning.   CAWAT spent Labor Day Monday pressure washing the memorial.  Flags are ordered and will be replaced soon!

On campus at Concord University, there is a parking spot at the athletic field, specifically designated for Purple Heart recipients.  It was faded and the sign needed replacement.  We are taking on the mission of the upkeep of that space.  In addition, there are two businesses, (so far) that are currently getting permission from management to allow us to add a parking spot like this at their location.  We will name those businesses and post pictures when it is approved and completed.

At Mount Jackson Baptist Church in Athens, WV, there is a Veterans Memorial.  The flags were faded and the monument needed cleaning, as well as the bushes cleaned up.  CAWAT has taken on that mission and made it look beautiful!  Flags are on order for this one as well!

Mark A. Smith Memorial Park (Sharpsburg) 2012 -2026
The town of Sharpsburg has allowed Come All Who Are Thirsty to construct and maintain a memorial park.  The common theme of the park is to honor ALL Veterans that have served from Operation Desert Shield to the current conflicts, as well as a child, Mark A. Smith (that tragically passed away near here) in which the park is maned after.  Watch as this beautiful memorial park comes to life!
