We had a great meeting! Every meeting we dedicate the meeting "In honor of" and this meeting was dedicated to the victims of the current devastating events that took place in VA, NC, TN, FL (flooding) and CA (wildfires)

We also wanted to honor our members that have passed away since Jan. 2020.

We have had great success in our initiatives for 2024-2025!

Ronnie Jackson "Wish for Fish" was created in honor of Ron.  It is a grant type program that pays for Veterans to go off shore fishing that have some type of terminal medical concern.

Our group hosted a Sharpsburg Elementary School "facelift" in which we removed two truck loads of weeds and brush in the front of the school, and put down a good weed barrier and sixteen yards of mulch! (pictures below)

We made a presentation to the 2nd. graders at Faith Christian Academy in Martinsburg, discussing Citizenship as part of our "Veterans in the Classroom project". (pictures below)

One of our ongoing projects ("Hats for Hope") is assisting the Native Americans that live on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota, as well as the Windswept Christian Academy.  Crochet hats were donated to be sent out there. (pictures below)

Damascus, VA was one of the hardest hit areas by the flooding recently.  We were able to send them some donated hats, gloves, coats, bedding, etc.  to the One Way Ministries located in Damascus.  Also, there were some donations sent to SW Virginia Star Project. (pictures below)

"Mr. Keith Blanket Brigade" is a project that was named in honor of one of our members that passed away, Keith Voges.  He was a Navy Veteran and had a huge heart for God and helping others.  Beth connected with the "Lighthouse" at the Martinsburg Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, WV.  It is an "end of life" care medical wing for Veterans with terminal medical conditions.  Beth and her "Brigade" crochet blankets, lapgans, and beanies for the patients.  (photos below)

So, as you can see, we have been very busy the past several months.  We are looking forward to what this year calls us on to be able to assist Veterans and the local communities!

If you would like to make any donations to assist anything we have mentioned, the address' are listed below, and donations are always welcomed to Come All Who Are Thirsty to assist with these and other projects to assist Veterans.  We, (and the ones listed below) are all 501 (C) (3) Non-profit agencies.
